Common Purpose values your privacy. At no time will Common Purpose make your email address available to any other Common Purpose 360 community user without your permission.
User agreement

This agreement describes the terms on which you may access and use our services. In order to use the Common Purpose 360 website, you must read and accept all of the terms and conditions of this agreement and the privacy policy.
In the event of any inconsistency between the Common Purpose Privacy Policy and this User Agreement, the User Agreement shall control. Nothing in this Agreement shall be deemed to confer any third-party rights or benefits. If you do not agree to be bound by the terms of this Agreement, you may not use nor access our services.
We reserve the right to modify this Agreement at any time, and without prior notice, by posting amended terms on this website. Your continued use of the Common Purpose 360 website indicates your acceptance of the amended User Agreement.
Description of Service
Common Purpose 360 is an online service offered to enable you to find and connect with other people who have taken part in Common Purpose courses more effectively. Whether looking for an idea, an opinion, a connection or a place to gather around your areas of interest, you can make contact with thousands of other people.
Access Eligibility
The Common Purpose 360 website site is open to all people who have taken part in or completed a Common Purpose course. It is not available to people under 18 years old or to any users suspended or removed from the system by Common Purpose for any reason. Additionally, users are prohibited from selling, trading, or otherwise transferring your access to another party.
Use of Service
Your use of the Common Purpose 360 website is governed by this User Agreement. Common Purpose may refuse service without prior notice to any user for any or no reason.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account, and are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your password or account with or without your knowledge. If you knowingly provide your login and password information to another person, your account privileges may be suspended temporarily or terminated. You agree to immediately notify Common Purpose of any unauthorized use of your password or account or any other breach of security.
Common Purpose cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with this section.
Termination
You agree that Common Purpose may, with or without cause, immediately terminate your Common Purpose 360 account and access to the Common Purpose 360 website without prior notice. Without limiting the foregoing, the following will lead to a termination by Common Purpose of a user’s use of the Common Purpose 360 service (a) breaches or violations of this User Agreement or other incorporated agreements or guidelines, (b) requests by law enforcement or other government agencies, (c) a request by you (self-initiated account deletions), and (d) unexpected technical issues or problems. Termination of your account includes removal of access to all offerings within the Common Purpose 360 website. Furthermore, you agree that all terminations shall be made in Common Purpose’s sole discretion and that Common Purpose shall not be liable to you nor any third-party for any termination of your account or access to the Common Purpose 360 website.
User Conduct
You understand and agree to abide by the Common Purpose conventions and Chatham House Rule. Beyond this, you agree not to use the Common Purpose 360 website to:
- Post content or initiate communications which are unlawful, libelous, abusive, obscene, discriminatory, or otherwise objectionable.
- Use the Common Purpose 360 website for any illegal purpose, including but not limited to conspiring to violate laws.
- Falsely state, impersonate, or otherwise misrepresent your identity, including but not limited to the use of a pseudonym, or misrepresenting your current or previous positions and qualifications, or your affiliations with a person or entity, past or present.
- Upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available any content or initiate communications which include information that you do not have the right to disclose or make available under any law or under contractual or fiduciary relationships (such as insider information, or proprietary and confidential information learned or disclosed as part of employment relationships or under nondisclosure agreements).
- Upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available any content or initiate communication that infringes upon patents, trademarks, trade secrets, copyrights or other proprietary rights.
- Upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available any unsolicited or unauthorized advertising, promotional materials, “junk mail,” “spam,” “chain letters,” “pyramid schemes,” or any other form of solicitation. This prohibition includes but is not limited to using the Common Purpose 360 website services to connect to people who don’t know you and then sending unsolicited promotional messages to those direct connections without their permission.
- Upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available any material that contains software viruses or any other computer code, files or programs designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment.
- Stalk or harass anyone.
- Forge headers or otherwise manipulate identifiers in order to disguise the origin of any communication transmitted through the Common Purpose 360 website.
- Interfere with or disrupt the Common Purpose 360 website or servers or networks connected to the Common Purpose 360 website, or disobey any requirements, procedures, policies or regulations of networks connected to the site.
International Use
Recognising the global nature of the Internet, you agree to comply with all applicable local rules including but not limited to rules regarding online conduct and acceptable content. Specifically, you agree to comply with all applicable laws regarding the transmission of technical data exported from the country in which you reside.
Information Provided on this Website
In the course of using the Common Purpose 360 website, users may provide information about themselves which may be visible to certain other users (see our privacy policy to learn more about information collected on this website). You understand that by posting materials on the website or otherwise providing materials to Common Purpose, you are granting to Common Purpose a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable license to use this information in the course of offering the Common Purpose 360 service. Furthermore, you understand that Common Purpose retains the right to reformat, excerpt, or translate any materials submitted by you. You understand that all information publicly posted or privately transmitted through the Common Purpose 360 website or associated events/meetings are the sole responsibility of the person from which such content originated and that Common Purpose will not be liable for any errors or omissions in any content. Common Purpose cannot guarantee the authenticity of any data which other people may provide about themselves or relationships they may describe.
Access to Service
Use of manual or automated software, devices, or other processes to “crawl” or “spider” any web pages contained in the Common Purpose 360 website is strictly prohibited. You agree not to monitor or copy, or allow others to monitor or copy, our web pages or the content included herein. You also agree not to “frame” or otherwise simulate the appearance or function of this website. Furthermore, you agree not to take any action that interferes with the proper working of or places an unreasonable load on our infrastructure, including but not limited to unsolicited communications, attempts to gain unauthorized access, or transmission or activation of computer viruses.
Competition terms
Common Purpose may, from time to time, have competitions, prize draws or other promotions and offers avaialble on the website. These will be subject to additional terms and conditions that will be made known to you.
Common Purpose Communications
In the course of providing you services, Common Purpose may need to communicate with you via email (see our privacy policy to learn more about communications). You agree to receive emails that are specific to your account and necessary for the normal functioning of the Common Purpose 360 website, including emails which help inform users of the Common Purpose 360 website about various features of the Common Purpose 360 services.
Monitoring and Enforcement
While we have the right to monitor activity and content associated with the Common Purpose 360 website, we are not obligated to do so. And since we do not, and may not have the ability to, control or actively monitor content we don’t guarantee its accuracy, integrity or quality. Because community standards vary and individuals sometimes choose not to comply with our policies and practices, in the process of using our website, you may be exposed to content that you find offensive or objectionable. You can contact info@commonpurpose.org to let us know of content that you find objectionable. We may investigate the complaints and violations of our policies that come to our attention and may take any action that we believe is appropriate, including, but not limited to issuing warnings, removing the content or terminating accounts. However, because situations and interpretations vary, we also reserve the right not to take any action. Under no circumstances will we be liable in any way for any content, including, but not limited to, any errors or omissions in any content, or any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the use of, access to, or denial of access to any content on the website.
Fees
Signing up is free and there is no charge to use the Common Purpose 360 website.
Indemnification
By accepting this User Agreement, you agree to indemnify and otherwise hold harmless Common Purpose, its officers, employees, agents, subsidiaries, affiliates and other partners from any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages resulting from i) your use of the Common Purpose 360 website; ii) unauthorised access to or alteration of your communications with or through the Common Purpose 360 community site, or iii) any other matter relating to the Common Purpose 360 website.
Without limitation of the terms and conditions set forth in our Privacy Policy, you understand and agree that Common Purpose may disclose personally identifiable information if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with legal process, enforce this User Agreement, or protect the rights, property, or safety of Common Purpose, people using the 360 website or people who have taken part in Common Purpose courses, and the public.
Disclaimer of Warranties
You understand and agree that the Common Purpose 360 website is provided on an ‘as is’ and ‘as available’ basis and that Common Purpose does not assume any responsibility for prompt or proper delivery or retention of user information or communications between users. Common Purpose assumes no responsibility for the accuracy or existence of any communications between users. Common Purpose expressly disclaims all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
Any material downloaded or otherwise obtained through the use of Common Purpose 360 website is done at your own discretion and risk and that you will be soley responsible for any damage to your computer system or less of data that results from the download of any such material.
Entire Agreement
The User Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between you and Common Purpose and governs your use of the Common Purpose 360 website.
Limitation of Liability
YOU EXPRESSLY UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT COMMON PURPOSE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, GOODWILL, USE, DATA OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES (EVEN IF COMMON PURPOSE HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES). SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF THE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. ACCORDINGLY, SOME OF THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. IN NO EVENT WILL COMMON PURPOSE’S TOTAL CUMULATIVE DAMAGES EXCEED GBP 50.
Governing Law
The User Agreement between you and Common Purpose will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the England and Wales/UK without regard to conflict of laws principles.
General Information
Common Purpose, the Common Purpose logo, and other Common Purpose logos and names are trademarks of Common Purpose Charitable Trust. You agree not to display or use these trademarks in any manner without Common Purpose’s prior, written permission.

Teilnahmeberechtigung und Registrierung
Vor Nutzung der Dienste, die auf der Website www.commonpurpose360.org
angeboten werden, müssen Sie sich registrieren. Eine Registrierung ist nur Absolventen
von Programmen gestattet, die von Common Purpose bzw. einer von Common Purpose lizenzierten
Länderorganisation durchgeführt wurden, sowie ausgewählten Mitarbeitern von Common
Purpose und der von Common Purpose lizenzierten Länderorganisationen. Durch die
Registrierung sichern Sie zu, zum Zeitpunkt der Registrierung volljährig zu sein,
und dass alle von Ihnen bei der Registrierung angegebenen Daten wahr und vollständig
sind. Sie verpflichten sich, Common Purpose Änderungen der Nutzungsdaten unverzüglich
anzuzeigen. Jeder Nutzer darf sich nur einmal registrieren und nur ein Nutzerprofil
anlegen. Zur Anmeldung erhalten Sie ein Passwort zur Nutzung von www.commonpurpose360.org
. Sie verpflichten sich, das Passwort geheim zu halten. Wir werden das Passwort
nicht an Dritte weitergeben. Zu keinem Zeitpunkt werden wir Sie nach Ihrem Passwort
fragen.
Benutzerinhalte
Durch das Einstellen von Inhalten auf www.commonpurpose360.org sichern
Sie zu, hierzu berechtigt zu sein und dadurch keine Rechte Dritter zu verletzen.
Sollten wir eine Benachrichtigung über eine mutmaßliche Rechtsverletzung erhalten,
sind wir berechtigt, das beanstandete Material sofort zu entfernen oder den Zugang
zu diesem Material zu sperren. Sie dürfen die nicht von Ihnen selbst eingestellten
Inhalte von www.commonpurpose360.org nicht verändern und nur mit unserer
vorheriger schriftlichen Zustimmung Dritten zugänglich machen. .
Verhaltenskodex
Um die volle Funktionsfähigkeit von www.commonpurpose360.org für Sie
und alle Nutzer zu gewährleisten, ist es notwendig, dass sich alle Nutzer angemessen
verhalten. Wir haben deshalb einen Verhaltenskodex zum Benutzerverhalten erstellt,
den Sie mit Ihrer Registrierung als verbindlich für Ihr Verhalten auf www.commonpurpose360.org
anerkennen. Da die Funktionsfähigkeit der Seite von höchster Bedeutung für unsere
Nutzer ist, sind wir zu Verhängung von Sanktionen gegen den Nutzer berechtigt, der
gegen den Verhaltenskodex verstoßen hat. In Betracht kommen je nach Schwere des
Verstoßes, die teilweise oder vollständige Löschung von Inhalten eines Nutzers,
Verwarnung eines Nutzers, Ein-oder Beschränkungen der Nutzung von www.commonpurpose360.org
, temporäre oder endgültige Sperrung eines Nutzers. Im Falle der endgültigen Sperrung
ist es dem Nutzer untersagt, sich ohne vorherige schriftliche Zustimmung von Common
Purpose erneut zu registrieren.
Beendigung
Jede Partei kann jederzeit, ohne Ankündigung und ohne Angabe von Gründen die Mitgliedschaft
durch Mitteilung an die jeweils andere Partei kündigen.
Rechtswahl
Auf die Nutzung von www.commonpurpose360.org sowie auf das Verhältnis
zwischen registrierten Nutzern aus Deutschland und Common Purpose ist das Recht
der Bundesrepublik Deutschland anwendbar.
Haftung und Einschränkung der Nutzbarkeit
Gegenüber Nutzern haftet Common Purpose für Schäden aus der Verletzung des Lebens,
des Körpers oder der Gesundheit sowie für Schäden, die auf Vorsatz oder grober Fahrlässigkeit
von Common Purpose oder eines Kooperationspartners oder sonstigen Erfüllungsgehilfen
beruht unbeschränkt. Common Purpose haftet für Schäden, die auf einer leicht fahrlässigen
Verletzung wesentlicher Vertragspflichten (Kardinalspflichten) durch Common Purpose
oder Erfüllungsgehilfen beruhen, unter Begrenzung auf den Ersatz vertragstypisch
vorhersehbarer Schäden. Für sonstige Fälle leichter Fahrlässigkeit ist die Haftung
von Common Purpose beschränkt auf EUR 25.000,- je Schadensfall. Die vorstehenden
Beschränkungen gelten sinngemäß auch für die Haftung im Hinblick auf den Ersatz
vergeblicher Aufwendungen. www.commonpurpose360.org wird von Zeit zu
Zeit wegen Wartungsarbeiten oder aus anderen Gründen möglicherweise nicht verfügbar
sein. Wir übernehmen keine Gewähr für einen ununterbrochenen fehlerfreien Service.
